Serve on a Committee!
By getting involved on a Habitat committee, you would be asked to volunteer your time and gifts to support a specific aspect of Habitat for Humanity in the Mitchell region.

Responsible for screening applications, interviewing, and recommending applicants to the Board of Directors for approval as prospective homeowners.
Family Support CommitteeProvides Habitat homeowners and prospective homeowners with a mutual support system, educational opportunities, and a forum for discussions pertaining to home ownership and maintenance.
Faith Relations CommitteeSeeks to strengthen the support of Habitat's work by recruiting volunteers, prayer, and financial resources from all faith organizations.

Construction CommitteeResponsible for locating lots to use for building and implementing the construction projects. This includes obtaining the house plan, soliciting professional help and donations of building materials, coordinating volunteers and supervising construction.
Fundraising CommitteeResponsible for raising money and educating the public regarding our mission. Oversees all fundraising events and cultivation of major donors.
