Local Habitat Board of Directors receives award

Receiving the Supporter of the Year Award: Tom Olawsky, SD Habitat Board Chair; Representing Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity - Gwenda Koch and Marilyn Haley.

The Board of Directors for Mitchell Regional Habitat for Humanity received the 2011 SD Habitat for Humanity Supporter of the Year Award.

The Mitchell Regional chapter has gone from a point of considering closing to completing four “A Brush with Kindness” projects, holding a successful “Living Quarters” fundraiser, being recipients of several grants and a number of sizable donations, and purchasing a lot on East 1st Avenue for the next home build.

It has taken the combined efforts of the entire Board who include: Gwenda Koch, Kathy Hektner, Bonny Hansen, Maurice Hartmann, Marilyn Haley, Lori Baye, Sherri Becker, Greg Neppl, Nancy Osterloo, Chris Fosness and Bruce Blumer.
